TO ANY AMERICAN WITH ITALIAN ORIGIN

This silver cup made in UK at the end of 19th or beginning 20th century is engraved with the name "S. ZETELLE" from one of our relatives who emigrated to the United States more precisely in Virginia. In order to maintain the Italian reading of the last name ZITELLI, he has transformed the "I" in "E".
The cup was sent as a present from a wedding, which took place in United States, to the ZITELLI family in Europe.

In an old agenda (1933) of my Grandfather, Giovanni Zitelli, I have found the following address:

R.C. ZETELLE
1025 - W.Grace St.
Richmond
Virginia
U.S.A

and dhis letter

1025 W. GRACE ST.
Richmond, Virginia
United States of America
March, 4 / 39

Dear cousin:

it has been a long time since i have had any news of my relatives in Rome and elsewhere.
Many sad things have happened here. my sister, mrs. Mc Intyre, that used to live in Jersey City died last may. She was eighty-seven years old. Her daughter died in 1927.
Her son, William Mc Intyre, is living in Jersey City, New Jersey.
I am seventy-seven years old; in two months, i’ll be seventy-eight.
I am not very strong, which is very natural. I have a quite number of infirmatives of old age, such as rheumatism, weak heart, and so forth.
My sister, the religious, is eighty-eight years old. when last i heard from her, she seems to be getting along fairly well for one of her years. She is now in the infirmary of the Mother House, in Rmmitsburg, Maryland.
So that is all that remains of our family on this side.
I would like to know something of my relatives in Rome and also of the others that are living in other places.
I hope you will receive this letter and write very soon in answer to it.
My very best wishes for all.

your cousin,

(MISS) Rosalie C. Zetelle.
